Questions and AnswersQuestion No.: 19449 Submitted By: Anonymous Submitted on: December 22, 2009 Subject: post-radiation supplement Question: hi Dr.Cinque, THANK you for your informative articles and comments. i read that article about the dangerous effects of CT scan and unfortunately i already had had an abdominal CT scan after unknown pain in the right kidney and just to make sure that there isn't any kidney stones and it turned out just muscle spasm. It was absolutely unnecessary to do that scan but it's too late now. i'm 29 years old and i need to know if there's any thing i can do or take to reverse any potential damage that could have happen? THANK YOU Dr. Cinque's Answer: There are things that you could try, that might help a little, because there is an attempt at a repair process after radiation exposure, and I believe that in this case the most promising thing that you could take is Liposomal Glutathione, which we have just started offering. As I mentioned in another article from last week, glutathione is the most abundant and versatile antioxidant and detoxifier in the human body, and it helps stop the free radicals that are generated by radiation. A cheaper alternative would be to take a glutathione precursor, such as NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) or perhaps SAM-e (S adenysl methionine). But, my first choice would be the new highly absorbable Liposomal Glutathione. You can find it listed alphabetically on the Product page, and it's also listed on the Antioxidants page. |
