Question No.: 18659
Submitted By: cv
Submitted on: February 1, 2009
Subject: SAMe for joint aches

Question:
Dear Dr. Cinque, You have said that taking SAME helps with joint aches...does the same happen with Rhodiola? I did not want to have to purchase both. Thank you for your expert and respected knowledge. Your grandchildren are precious. Love the video! Carol

Dr. Cinque's Answer:
Yes, SAMe has been used successfully in arthritis because, like glucosamine, it helps to support cartilage production, although in a completely different way. And no, I don't think the same is true of Rhodiola. And I'm glad you liked the video, but I'm not thinking of quitting my day job.
