Questions and AnswersQuestion No.: 18620 Submitted By: Steve Submitted on: January 21, 2009 Subject: constipation during pregnancy Question: My wife is pregnant and I wondered if there was one of your products that she could take for constipation? I checked out the BioPRO Caps 120 capsules but wasn't sure. She has problems with constipation even without being pregnant so I would like to find something that's safe during the pregnancy and after. Thank you! Steve Hollis Dr. Cinque's Answer: Well, the Bio-pro is a bacterial culture for seeding the intestines with friendly bacteria. It may or may not help with constipation, but it is perfectly safe, even for your pregnant wife. But we offer two fiber supplements that are very good; one is a powder you dissolve in water and the other are capsules. They are Detox Fiberplex and the other is Fiber-rite capsules. Both are listed on our Digestive Aids. But the most important thing is that your wife eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and other high-fiber plants foods such as whole grains and legumes. And I presume she is taking a good pre-natal nutritional formula. |
