Question No.: 18396

Subject: which CoQ10?

Question:
I'm puzzled at which coq10 to order the reg. or the h2. I am 54 and did some reading about the two differant coq10 and there is a 20.00 diff. is the latter that much better to take??I read the body will absorbe the h2 better because the oler we get we do't absorb the plain coq10 that well.

Dr. Cinque's Answer:
I think it's definitely worth it to take the new CoQ10-H2, known as ubiquinol rather than the standard CoQ10 known as ubinquinone. I have seen the study results from the Japanese company that makes it. Both ubiquinone and ubiquinol had anti-aging effects in mice, but the ubiquinol was far superior. The regular CoQ10 does not absorb well at all- even in the young. Perhaps 7 percent gets through- that's all. The rest is wasted. So for me, this is a no-brainer: you definitely want to take CoQ10-H2.
