Questions and AnswersQuestion No.: 18338 Submitted By: Francis D. Submitted on: April 13, 2008 Subject: peanut butter Question: Dr. Cinque, Do you have an opinion on natural peanut butters (the ones with nothing in them but roasted peanuts)? I want to feed my children wholesome foods that fill them up. Thank you for any suggestions. Dr. Cinque's Answer: I don't have a problem with giving kids peanut butter, and I would get one that is organically grown and also salt-free. But I have to say that I value raw nuts more highly. At home, I make raw nut butter using my Champion Juicer. I also make raw nut milk using a blender cup. I consider nuts a prime food for both children and adults. |
