Question No.: 18310
Submitted By: Mary teague
Submitted on: February 16, 2008
Subject: Krill oil

Question:
Just finished reading your answer (again) about Krill Oil,I have been taking it for quite awhile, and I swear by it.I am wondering if you ever started taking it. It does not taste fishy, and if you do not smell it, you have no trouble taking it. I am the lady who had the sprained back, and you recommended UniZyme. It helped so much, but I think I have to say that the Krill Oil helped too, and seems to still help, as I still have pain in my upper back, if I overdo anything.I make sure, that I take my 2 Krill Oil pills right after breakfast. Thank you so much for all your help. Mary Teague

Dr. Cinque's Answer:
Yes, Mary, I did try the krill oil, and I agree that it is entirely pleasant and easy to take. In fact, I would say it's less fishy than regular fish oil. And yes, the Unizyme is terrific, especially as an alternative to Advil or Ibuprofen or stronger medicines for pain. Every single one of the painkillers that people commonly take, including Tylenol and aspirin, are riddled with problems and dangers and are best avoided. Thank you for writing.
