Question No.: 18308
Submitted By: Jonathan
Submitted on: February 12, 2008
Subject: food allergy test kit

Question:
I am considering purchasing the Food Allergy test from VRP but am not sure if it is worth the money. What is your opinion about the test?

Dr. Cinque's Answer:
All I can tell you is that I don't have the slightest desire to undergo food allergy testing myself- or any kind of allergy testing. Even though it's been around for a long time, the whole thing is very ifffy. I have never done it, but I've seen other people do it, and often it comes back with goofy stuff, such as, "you're allergic to lettuce." Let me tell you, I would never quit eating lettuce just because of a food allergy test. Nobody is allergic to lettuce. There is nothing in it to be allergic to. Give me a break.
