Question No.: 17286
Submitted By: anonymous
Submitted on: July 26, 2005
Subject: traumatic arthritis

Question:
Dear Dr.Cinque, Which of these two would you recommend,Unizyme,or Boswellia Serrata,250mg.? I saw on your site. My condition is osteoarthritis of the hands. I have much pain and do not want to continue on prescribed etodolac400mg.I had a fall two years ago and braced it with both hands. No broken bones, but it took a long recovery to strengthen my grip and fingers. With osteoarthritis setting in ,I need to find something without side affects. Thanks kindly, You have a nice website.

Dr. Cinque's Answer:
Thank you. I know how trauma to a joint can be followed by osteoarthritis. Regarding Unizyme vs. Boswellia Serrata to treat inflammation, I have more experience with people taking Unizyme and benefiting from it, so I have more confidence about recommening it. You may want to consider taking NutriJoint as well. There is no risk of bad interaction from taking these products together, and each can benefit you in different ways.
