FDA-approved preservative; powerful antioxidant

For legal reasons, I must say that we are only offering BHT as a food
preservative. For instance, when you open a bottle of olive oil, you can empty
a capsule of BHT powder into it, and it will keep the oil from going rancid,
and I do that myself. However, I don't think it's against the law for me to
recommend a book entitled "Wipe Out
Herpes with BHT" by Drs. Mann and Fowkes, which I found to be very interesting
reading. The book "Life Extension" by Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw also
discusses unconventional uses of BHT.
Let me state that I do not have Herpes myself, that I know of, but if I
did have Herpes, I would not take any of the anti-viral drugs used in Medicine
that are given for Herpes. I would not feel safe doing that. I do not think
the risk/reward profile for those drugs is appealling- for me. And
I would definitely seek an alternative, as it would be my legal right to
do.
Again, for legal reasons, I have to be careful about what I say, but I can
tell you that I have been impressed with research I have seen showing that BHT
disrupts the lipid membranes of certain viruses, removes binding proteins that
some viruses use to penetrate human cells, and acts as a powerful antioxidant
to neutralize free radicals that are generated by certain viruses.
Finally, I would state the simple fact that there are people today who are
using BHT for the treatment of Herpes, even though it is not FDA-approved for
that purpose, and from what I have read, they commonly take doses ranging from
several hundred to a thousand milligrams a day.
Caution: You should not consume alcohol at all if you are taking BHT,
because BHT slows down the breakdown of alcohol and exacerbates and prolongs
the deleterious effects of alcohol.
