The synthetic amino acid DL-Phenylalanine (DLPA) can inhibit the breakdown of
the body’s natural pain killers, and it often provides relief from pain,
especially chronic pain. Recommended dosage: one to four capsules per day.
Caution: Use only as directed. Not for use by children, pregnant or lactating
women, by persons with the genetic metabolic disorder PKU, psychosis,
hypertension, pigmented malignant melanoma, cancer, violent temper, or persons
taking Rx MAO inhibitor drugs. Excessive consumption of phenylalanine may
cause
symptoms of excessive stimulation: tremors, rapid heartbeat, irritability or
insomnia. In case of excessive stimulation or insomnia, reduce consumption by
half, and avoid intake during the late afternoon or evening hours.
